As the 2021 NFL Season fast approaches, we celebrate the legacy of one of the greatest players in San Francisco 49ers history - Dwight Clark. His legendary catch against the Dallas Cowboys in the 1981 NFC Championship Game launched the 49ers dynasty of the 80s and 90s and set the standard that the current 49ers are striving to reach.
Join us Tuesday, August 31 at the Concord Pavilion for a series of lively conversations about “Building a Champion” with 49ers greats, including George Seifert, Carmen Policy and a reunion of one of the most prolific secondaries in NFL history - Dwight Hicks and the Hot Licks. All proceeds will benefit the Golden Heart Fund.
Dwight Clark was called “the ultimate teammate by Joe Montana” and an award bearing his name will be presented to All-Pro tight end George Kittle — honored as the current 49ers player who best exemplifies Dwight’s spirit of teamwork. Kittle will join former 49ers Pro Bowl tight end Brent Jones on stage for a lively discussion and get you set for the upcoming season.
The discussions will be led by NBC Sports Bay Area’s Laura Britt and Matt Maiocco, co-hosts of the popular 49ers Talk Podcast.
